File converters are useful, but many of them hide the processing model behind a simple upload box. For everyday image jobs, that is often unnecessary. PrivateConverts is built around clear privacy labels and local browser processing whenever the tool can handle the job on your device.

Current focus
The first public version focuses on image workflows: WebP to PNG, PNG/JPG to WebP, image compression, resizing and EXIF metadata removal. These tools are simple on purpose: they are designed to validate reliability, usefulness and the privacy-first promise before adding heavier formats.
What comes later
The project can grow into more formats, batch processing, premium convenience features and carefully marked cloud tools. The priority is to keep the product honest: local when possible, cloud only when needed, and no vague privacy claims.
